Individual Directed Retreats are silent retreats given on a one-to-one basis by a trained spiritual director. They are planned with you and for you and can last from a few days to a month.

Individual Retreats include a daily meeting with your spiritual director to reflect on your retreat experience and what is happening in your prayer.  You will also receive guidance in ways to proceed into deeper reflection as well as help in prayer and discernment. These retreats may last from overnight to 8 days.

Individual Directed Retreats use Scripture as a source of prayer, but other sources may also be used.  Spiritual Directors are trained in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and their adaptation to individual needs, and are also trained in other prayer methods.

Each Directed Retreat is personally scheduled to meet your needs.
You may eventually be called by God to participate in the “Retreat in Everyday Life” according to the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius. This watershed directed retreat is conducted over 9-12 months and includes a commitment to one hour of prayer a day and one meeting per week with your spiritual director.

An individual day of prayer may also be scheduled with your spiritual director or the Cenacle Retreat Office.
